Royal Carriage

Wenn einer mit Namen König heißt, dann sei ihm ein standesgemäßes Fahrzeug vergönnt.

So haben es sich zumindest die Mechaniker vom House of Flames in München gedacht, als sie sich an die Arbeit an Andreas´ 2009er FLSTC machten. Dem ehemals so biederen Bike wurde eine mehr monatige Schönheitsoperation spendiert, die es in ein echtes Traumbike verwandeln sollte.

Nur hochwertigste Komponenten fanden an diesem edlen Motorrad Platz. Angefangen bei den „36er“ genannten HPU-Rundlingen, der HD USD-Gabel in chrom, einem speziell angefertigten V-Team Dragstyle-Lenker, der auch den Motogadget-Tacho beherbergt, über den verlängerten und gecleanten Tank, das elegante HPU-Heckteil bis hin zu den PM-Armaturen für Hände und Füße, ein auf das Raddesign abgestimmtes Pulley und Bremsscheiben samt Drive-Side-Bremssystem mit integriertem Kennzeichenhalter – dieser übrigens eine Neuheit von HPU.

Bei soviel optischen Leckerbissen war für Andreas schnell klar, dass er in Sachen Motor ebenfalls dringend ein Upgrade benötigt. Also orderte er zusätzlich ein Screamin´ Eagle Paket welches Zylinder, HTCC-Köpfe und – Kolben, 260er Nockenwellen, einen Heavy Breather Luftfilter und natürlich die passende Software in Form eines SE Super Tuners beinhaltet. Um die Abgase klangvoll entladen zu können wurde eine elektronisch verstellbare Kess-Tech Anlage auf die V-Team Krümmer montiert.

Nachdem alle Spezialanfertigungen und Montagearbeiten getätigt waren wurde das gesamte Bike zerlegt und Marcus Pfeil übergeben.

Der zauberte mit Metallic-Rot, Anthrazit-Grau und einer Portion Blattgold wieder einmal ein echtes Kunstwerk. Unterstrichen vom nicht weniger schmückenden Sitz von Armin Dobstetter / Custom Leather entstand ein Bike, dass nicht nur extrem gut aussieht, sondern aufgrund seiner zivilen Fahrwerksabmessungen und des brachialen Motors für Begeisterung bei jedem sorgte, der einmal in den Genuss einer Probefahrt kam.

Andreas´ tat seine Überraschung über das hervorragende Fahrverhalten schon nach der ersten Ausfahrt kund. Das ein Bike mit 260er Reifen sich so Problemlos fahren lässt hatte er nicht gedacht. Es zeigt sich erneut, dass Custombikes problemos fahrbar sein können, sofern die Fahrwerksgeometrie und die korrekte Montage aller fahrwerksrelevanten Teile bereits bei der Planung eines Umbaus berücksichtigt werden.
